Crankbox SuperBitches Begin National Summer Tour, Release New CD

Cincinnati Indie Rock band Crankbox announces the release of new CD and national summer tour.

Cincinnati, OH (PRWEB) May 25, 2004 -— Cincinnati Indie Rockers Crankbox have slated the release of their new CD "SuperBitch" for June 15th. In support of the band’s latest Crankbox Records release (manufactured through Sony DADC), their multi-city national tour kicks off on June 5th in Ypsilante, MI.

The four-piece coed band, Crankbox, are veterans by today’s standards in the indie rock world, having toured extensively in Europe and the US. Consisting of Bre Asop (vocals/guitar), Ina Asop (bass/vocals), Sun Mun (guitar/synths), and Rob Zabitch (drums), this band habitually plays to packed houses by securing radio play in each city in which they have performed "and, yet, we’re still relatively unknown," remarks lead singer/guitarist Bre, "But we’re out to change that by playing every corner of the USA non-stop! " Bassist Ina, embracing Crankbox’s "chick-fronted" status adds, “We’re talented musicians with great songs, but it was really hard at first to get exposure since we’re girls. American Talent Buyers expected us to suck, so they gave us the low-profile gigs. When they came out and saw us tear up the stage they became supporters, and now we’re headlining the big rooms. We’ve had to prove ourselves every step of the way, and we will continue to do so until we’re a household name!”

Crankbox isn’t just about the girls though. Their music speaks for itself, as in their wildly popular rock anthem, "On The Radio", where Bre boldly proclaims, "And I am not a singer, but you’ve got my CD. So if you wanna go on the radio, I guess you better sound like me."
